A clear choice for fiscal discipline, transparency and community first.
When I was elected to the board in 2020, our first pledge to you was better transparency and communication: regular email updates, clear reporting in the community magazine, accessible information, and no major action ever pushed through without notifying residents.
I made that commitment six years ago. I hold firm to it today.
What I stand for.
-
Direct, proactive communication
Prompt, transparent reporting on board discussions, financial audits and project plans, through official emails, website updates and direct mail for major initiatives. Every issue that concerns residents comes to board debate, out in the open and in full view of the cameras.
-
Safety and emergency preparedness
Stronger community preparedness for wildfire, natural disasters and property crime. Every resident should feel safe and secure walking the dog, hiking our trails or cycling through our neighborhoods. And in the future, both lanes opened for egress out of our community in case of a fire.
-
Reasoned governance
As a former police officer and long-time public servant, I know that rules and standards are best preserved through mutual respect and humble communication rather than heavy-handed enforcement. A kind, thoughtful, gentle and respectful culture is what I brought to the Association in 2020. A healthy board requires independent oversight, open debate, and the courage to ask tough questions before approving projects and spending money that belongs to the people. For the benefit of our community as a whole, personal agendas must be set aside.
-
Reserve funds
Reserve funds exist to protect community assets and preserve vital infrastructure. A healthy reserve balance is not a license to overspend: that money belongs to the homeowners of Somersett, not the board.
I believe we can make Somersett an even more beautiful, vibrant and harmonious place to live through steady fiscal stewardship, thoughtful compromise and honest leadership.
If you believe Somersett deserves common-sense fiscal discipline and transparent priorities, I would be honored to have your vote.
