Meet Bill.

I serve on your Somersett Owners Association board, and I am asking for your vote to continue.

My approach is simple: needs before wants, transparent finances, and every dollar working for the members of this association.

  • 16 years in the Nevada State Senate
  • On your Somersett board since 2020
Bill’s record of service

Our common ground.

Somersett is an outdoor life: trails through the foothills, wild open space, and Peavine on the horizon. This is what we share, and what we will protect together.

Peavine as it rises over Somersett, at first light on a June morning. A horizon worth protecting.

Places this beautiful stay beautiful because people take care of them. In Somersett, that’s us.

A community that takes care of itself.

Years ago, Somersett took on the challenge of self-management. As the father of self-management in Somersett, I can say that through diligent oversight and careful spending, that decision saved the association hundreds of thousands of dollars.

It is one of the best things this community has done for itself. Neighbors who look after what they own, and a board that answers directly to the people it serves: that is the Somersett I believe in. A well-run Somersett also keeps everyone’s home values as high as they can be.

Good governance requires distinguishing between needs and wants.

Needs first.

My priorities for Somersett, in the order they should be funded.

Priorities for SomersettBill O’Donnell

  1. SafetySafe slopes, walls, entrances and common areas for every resident and guest.
  2. UpkeepOur trails, open spaces and landscaping, cared for and kept beautiful.
  3. ReservesReserve funds kept strong, so major repairs are paid for without surprises.
  4. ValueCompetitive bids on major projects, with the best value for members winning.
  5. OpennessDecisions made in the open, with the numbers shared with every owner.

Needs first. Then everything else.

Signed, Bill O’Donnell

It’s not our money. It belongs to the members of this association.

Healthy reserves are a responsibility, not an invitation to spend. As your director, I will treat every dollar of your dues with the same care you give your own.

With careful priorities and transparent finances, Somersett’s best years are ahead.
